More Than Furniture & Decor

We’re The Crooked Notch
A husband-and-wife team passionate about giving furniture a second chance: since 2017, we’ve been sanding, staining, and painting pieces that deserve to be loved again.
This business started during one of the hardest seasons of our lives. In 2014, our youngest son, Dawson, was diagnosed with B-cell leukemia. During his years of chemo and recovery, we needed an outlet, something positive to pour our energy into. That’s when refinishing furniture became more than a hobby.
Dawson’s Story
Dawson is the reason The Crooked Notch exists. Many of our customers know him from flea markets or helping out in the shop. Today, he’s healthy, happy, and enjoying life as a teenager, and we’re grateful every day. His older brother, Mason, is just as much a part of our business, offering help (and sometimes surprises) when we need it most.

Our Philosophy
We believe furniture should spark joy. If you don’t love it, it’s meant for someone else. That’s why we work so hard to find the right piece for every customer. Whether it’s a lovingly restored antique dresser, a freshly stained dining table, or a comfy sectional ready to go home today, we stand behind every item we sell.
What Our Customers Are Saying
Every piece has a story, and so do our customers. Read the reviews from people who found “the one” right here at The Crooked Notch.
